Manpower’s client Klip Marine Shipmanagement Ldt (KMS) has successfully navigated through all the economic waves and shipping cycles since 1990, maintaining continuous growth while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the managed fleet. Over the past 30 years, KMS has manages a diverse range of vessels, including dry cargo and chemical/oil product tankers, ranging from coasters to Capesize, totaling more than 80 different vessels. Today KMS provides management services to a significant number of vessels flying various flags engaged in global trade, ensuring safety and cost-effective operation. To support their growth and expansion of the managed fleet KMS are looking for an experienced Technical Superintendent.

Main tasks are:

  • To oversee the technical management of the vessels assigned, ensuring the vessels are technically operational and managed within the planned requirements and in adherence to the budget.
  • Inspect daily maintenance and repair operations, scheduling and preparing vessels for surveys, inspections, and docking.
  • To manage operational budget, and expenditure and have authority to mobilize any resources to ensure compliance and top standards are maintained working closely with the HSEQ and HR teams to ensure proper implementation of HSEQ system and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in written and verbal English, and verbal Russian language skills; English speaking C1 (proficient language user) – very good, writing C1 (proficient language user) – very good; Russian speaking C1 (proficient language user) – very good, writing B2 (independent language user) – good.
  • Sailing experience as a senior Engineer Officer and proper familiarization with current maritime legislation.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Readiness to constantly develop and learn.
  • Relevant Technical Superintendent experience managing bulk carriers is an advantage for this opening, and extensive experience in planning and overseeing dry docking would be preferred.
